PROJECT PAN: Pan 18 in 2018 UPDATE # 5
3:52:00 PM
Hello interweb friends!
So sorry for this very late update of my Project Pan. I know I'm apologising in every post but I have been MIA for the past months for a good reason. My hubby and I moved to a new apartment! Yay! It's very bare at the moment that's why I'm having a hard time blogging but I will try to get back and post regularly for the remaining of the year.
I am quite excited for this current update since it's been an eternity since my last post. Lots of pans, several empties and lots of almost finished products has happened since then. So let's jump right to it then:
Let's start with this not so stellar update. I honestly have given up hope of ever hitting pan on this one. I have dry - normal skin and I hardly used this during the Fall and Winter months. I am trying to use this more now that it's Spring here but my face just doesn't need a lot of powder. I would probably have more use of it when Summer comes but that would mean I have to include it for next year's Project Pan.
I stopped using this during Fall and Winter. This shade is more of my Summer shade so I couldn't really use it when I'm at my lightest. Now that it's Spring, I am able to finally get away with this on my lazy days.
I used to really love this BB cream for its coverage and sun protection but I realised that it makes my face look grey. I haven't really noticed it until recently and so I had to correct it with a yellow powder. When I use this one up, I won't be repurchasing it again since I have discovered other BB creams that I like better than this.
This is another product I stopped using during Fall and Winter seasons. I realised too late that when I chose products for my Project Pan, I didn't consider my Winter shade for foundation and powder.
Please ignore the 4th line on my update # 3 photo. |
I still love this foundation, it's still my HG. It lasts the whole day and it's sweatproof, humidity proof and stress-proof! ^.^ I heard that Estee Lauder now has a pump for this which is great. I recently bought a back-up of this in a lighter shade since I don't have my Winter shade for this. I cannot recommend this enough!
I have a love-hate relationship with this product. I started to hate it when I noticed how it is making my lids look old and wrinkly. But then again, maybe I have to admit that I am in my 30's and lines are starting to appear everywhere on my face. But alas, I'm in denial and I'm putting all the blame on this product. It's unfair I know.
Since concealers do not do that on me so I stopped using this. However, one day I noticed that my eyeshadows look weird and ugly at the end of the day. I initially thought maybe it's time to toss away my LORAC PRO 2 since it is definitely way past its expiration date. But then for some reason, I decided to use this again as my primer and voila! Eyeshadows stayed the same the entire freaking day. This product is really good in preventing my eye shadows from oxidising and it's just amazeballs. I've had this for a couple of years now and it is still creamy like it was brand new. I love it but I hate it.
I really thought I would have finished this by now. But this is another product which I realised was my Summer shade when I chose products for this project. I couldn't use this for the past few months because I was too pale for this shade. But now that I am getting more tan, I was able to use this again. I usually pair this with my BB cream to cover areas that needs to be hidden from public scrutiny. It's an excellent concealer for blemishes because of its creamy texture but it's a little too heavy for the under-eyes.
It's a very slow progress with this one. I pair this with the lipstick I included in this project and it's a really good product that helps my lipstick stay on longer. I do not need to retouch my lipstick which means I don't get to use this as much. Overall, I would say it's a good investment. You get a lot of product and at the same time the quality is really good.
I am soo excited to show you my latest update on this lippie. I never thought I could do it. But look how flat and amazing it looks now. With 2 months left to spare I have completely flatten my lipstick! Now the question is......should I continue to use it up or should I consider it done? I am thinking of scraping up what's left in the bullet but at the same time, I am bored with this shade and I just want to enjoy my other lippies for the rest of the year.
Let me know your thoughts on the comment section below!
This is probably my most exciting product update. I have not only hit pan on 9 shades but I have also completely used up 1 shade in this palette. I have repressed several shades (Lt. Brown, Nectar, Beige and Rose) since my last update which explains why they look weird and ugly.
At this point, I have to admit, I am really tired of this palette. I want to play with my other palettes and with other colours. But I was dedicated into at least panning as much as I can with this palette.
With 2 months remaining for the year, I know I won't be able to completely use it up but I will try my best to at least finish up Lt. Brown by my next update.
I have finished up this mascara....finally! I honestly didn't like it when it was brand new. It doesn't hold curl and it just makes my Asian lashes straight and droopy. But when it started to dry up, that's when I started to like it. I don't love it, but I don't hate it. It's more of like a meh product for me. It's definitely not worth my money and I have loved cheaper drugstore mascaras than this.
10. Naturactor Make Up Base
Another product I have finally used up. It's about time I use this up since I don't know how long I've had this one. Towards the end I mix this with a lippie and voila.....instant cream blush! I prefer using cream products during the cold months so that's how I was able to use this one up and my lippie as well.

I wonder if a lifetime will be enough for me to get to the end of that paint pot.
ReplyDeleteYou made great progress on the pro palette. I don't have it, but i realise looking at your pictures that it's really beautiful. I love the shade Jade, but you don't seem to like it as much lol
Keep up the good work!

It does take forever to even hit pan on the paint pot but since it is a good eye base, I am not really in a hurry anymore. :) The shade Jade was the reason I bought this palette but alas...it looks better in the pan than on my eyeballs. It has a black base to it so it appears really dark on the lid which I am not very confident to wear.
DeleteGood post! x
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try the Estee Lauder foundation it's meant to be really good, you have some amazing products listed and you've made me tempted to try most x
ReplyDeleteGreat post
It's humidity and sweat-proof. I've worn it to the beach and it looked good the entire day. Just don't put too much or else it might end up cakey.
DeleteGreat post.. would love you take a quick look at my makeup kits and see if I’m missing anything obvious…I can’t wait to read your next post.
ReplyDeleteI'm also in my 30s and I always put all the blame on concealers for my fine lines.
ReplyDeleteI think there's a point in life where concealer will no longer do the trick. I need miracle in a bottle.
Having a MAC Paint Pot in a project pan is very ambitious. Doesn't it take a lifetime to use up?
