I'm so happy that for the 3rd month of my year-long Project Low-Buy, I was able to maintain my 4-product a month resolution. Yay! I know I had a minor slip previously and bought 2 extra products but I really tried to keep myself in check for this update. I tried to keep it to at least 2 products, just so I can make up for my extra 2 products but it was really a struggle since I got 2 of these products for sale (Clarins Toner and Benefit Hoola kit). With the Tropic Palette, I had a AUD 20 gift card from Beautylish + afterpay so I thought I might as well get it.
So enough rambling and let's proceed with the haul:
1. Clarins Toning Lotion (with Camomile) - AU$32 - https://buff.ly/2vl8F9h
I ran out of toner recently and I repurchased this one. I think this is the best toner I've ever used that works really well for my dry skin. My skin has drastically changed from combo-skin to dry skin since I moved here. This toner combined with my Hada Labo skin care products really saved my skin in the previous winter season. As you can see, I've used quite a bit of the product and am already thinking of repurchasing this one in a bigger bottle.
2. NARS Audacious Lipstick in Isabella
This is a limited edition shade that is only available at MECCA. I have been collecting the limited edition shades but sadly, there was one that I wasn't able to get. If you have been reading my previous posts, you'd know how much I rave about the Audacious Lipsticks. This line is the reason why I am back into bullet lippies. This shade is described as a raspberry mauve which swatches beautifully. Sadly on my lips, it looks more brown than berry. It sucks because I bought it thinking it would be the perfect Autumn lippie for me. The formula is still amazing as ever, it just sucks that the shade just doesn't go well on my lips.
3. Benefit "do the HOOLA" Kit - https://buff.ly/2vl8F9h AU$39
I just had to get this one because it was on sale. I would be travelling abroad for the holidays and I thought this would be a good kit to bring with me. This kit includes the following:
- Dew The Hoola Sheer Soft Matte Face Bronzer 0.23 oz / 7ml
- Hoola Bronzing Powder 0.1oz / 3g
- They're Real! Beyond Mascara (Black) 0.1oz / 3g
- Benebalm Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm 0.05oz / 1.4g
- Ultra Plush In Hoola Lip Gloss 0.22oz / 6.5ml
- A mini brush (which surprisingly works!)
- Tips & Tricks booklet
4. NATASHA DENONA Tropic Palette - AU$129
I am sucker for limited edition products. I have bought the Sunset palette and although I enjoyed the shades, I wasn't a big fan of formula. I bought this palette the moment it was released because the shades in this one draws me to it. Shortly after, it became controversial for a lot of reasons. I highly suggest you to watch this video by BEAUTY NEWS. They did a really good job breaking down this palette and exposing some stuff regarding Natasha Denona's palettes.

However, regardless of the controversies revolving this palette, I still like it though. I honestly prefer the formulation of the shadows here than on my Sunset palette. I also appreciate the fact that this palette has removable pans. It was easy for me to depot it using the magnet I have from INGLOT. But does this palette warrant the hefty AU$129 price? Honestly, I think ABH shadows and MUFE shadows perform just as good for a cheaper price. But if you are a make up collector and you can afford it then go ahead and try it.
So that's it for my low-buy for the month of March. I really hope that I somehow get to limit myself better for the succeeding months. I still need to make up for my excess 2 products from my previous haul. Wish me luck!
